CASE STUDY: From Low to High Engagement
THE CHALLENGE: How can we increase traffic from Maine Green Power customers? Due to an outdated site that wasn’t easy to navigate, residential and business customers were not aware of the benefits of enrolling with Maine’s renewable energy program. The site not only made it difficult to understand the benefits, but how new customers could join and the cost of doing so (spoiler: for a small amount monthly, you CAN make a huge difference).
THE SOLUTION: Responsive web design that is easy to navigate, has the local character of Maine, and feels inviting. This includes a slight refresh to the brand, custom graphics, and a more true-natured strategy.

Average Engagement Time Per Session: 100% increase since 2024 traffic or the year prior.
Session Conversion Rate: A jump to approximately 119%, now at 2.69%, or a significant increase from the prior year showing improved user experience and call-to-action effectiveness.
Enrollments: Consistently seeing twice the average microsite enrollments from sources other than email, demonstrating the organic reach and appeal of newly designed site. Over 40 enrollments in the first 3 months of the site launch (a large scale for this smaller program). This put Maine Green Power ahead of the forecast for yearly enrollments.
